Growing Gardens Harvest Festival | Boulder Nonprofit Photographer
This fall, I had the joy of volunteering with Growing Gardens in Boulder, capturing the heartwarming chaos (the good kind) of their Harvest Festival. It was one of those perfect days where kids ran wild, goats soaked up unlimited attention, and the community came together to celebrate the magic of urban farming.
The sounds of live local music set the perfect backdrop for a day of dancing, cornhole games, and meaningful connection. Watching little ones twirl in the sunshine, hands covered in soil, was a reminder of how special it is to slow down and embrace nature’s simple joys.
Beyond the fun, what makes Growing Gardens so special is their mission. They’re not just growing food—they’re growing connection, education, and sustainability. Through hands-on programs, they teach kids and adults alike about where food comes from, how to care for the land, and why urban agriculture is so vital for our communities. They make farming accessible to everyone, proving that you don’t need acres of land to cultivate something meaningful.
As a Boulder nonprofit photographer, I love capturing these moments—where passion, education, and community come together. These aren’t just pictures; they’re a visual story of people making a difference. I’m so grateful to have been part of this day, documenting all the love, learning, and laughter that make events like this so special.
