Stranger #7: Maura

Woman walks along beach looking at ocean

My stranger number 7, Maura. As soon as my husband got home yesterday, I let him take over the wrangling of the kids and I booked it out of the house to catch the sunset. With my messy bun, ripped jeans and hiking boots, I ran into a beautiful goddess sauntering down the beach. She is Maura, a children’s art teacher and she brings to me a feeling of peace.

Per Maura’s suggestion, I started researching TED talks about interacting with strangers and have found some amazing stuff and probably some answers as to why I was drawn to this project. If you have some time, come down the rabbit hole with me.

Thanks again, Maura, for letting me take your photos and for chatting with me. It was lovely.
